The Trailer

OMG, the trailer gave away the movie!

I haven't even seen the movie yet, but the trailer made it so obvious Andy Garcia would die!

Like they show this guy with a huge knife, then Andy Garcia turns around quickly, then Michael Douglas yells, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It's so easy to see that he's going to die.

I thought trailers weren't supposed to do that kind of thing.

Is there anywhere online I can see it?

modern trailers are just as bad and give away far tooo much. The trailer for "Shooter" is a good example as it basically tells you EVERYTHING that happens in the film.

I think modern trailers do a much better job of keeping details under wraps. Watch the trailers for any movies made 1930-1960ish. They can be anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes long and usually give away big scenes. The trailers for "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", "Shane", "Casablanca", "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", "The Searchers" and "It's a Wonderful Life" give away entire endings.

Although I will admit, the trailer for this movie did give away a lot.

There's an entire trope dedicated to these kinds of trailers.
