The film scenery and cinematography makes me think of 'Blade Runner'

Makes sense, since both films were directed by Ridley Scott. I don't know, I just get the same vibe location wise that I do in viewing "Blade Runner".

thought the same thing.
it looked awesome!

I think it's almost like those characters could run into each other, since they share a universe!:-)

can't wait for the Blade Runner sequel/prequel...
Ridley Scott directing and producing as well!!!

That's a good thing if that happens; I feel the original "Blade Runner" was solid (okay, like Harrison Ford, I didn't care for the voice over in the one version of the film, but I liked everything else).

There's a thin gap between skepticism and cynicism

During the scene where Douglas is eating the noodles at the outdoor stand, I half-expected to see Harrison Ford down at the end of the counter say "Tell him I'm eating!" 😀

Yeah, they're dead, they're...all messed up!

Welcome to Japan...or pretty much any modern asian city like Shang hai hong Kong

look modern and futuristic

Agreed, the film always reminds me of Blade Runner too.

The film's scenery and cinematography made me think it was a good movie, then I realized it sucked. Dialogue needed a rewrite, and way too many cliches. Also casting Douglas was a mistake I feel. I like him, but he really didn't fit that role. Should have gotten someone a little darker, personality wise.

Hans Zimmer's score totally ripped off Vangelis' Blade Runner music too...

Definitely, so many scenes reminiscent of Blade Runner. For instance when they first arive at Japan, and you see the smoke billowing out of the factory towers, it echoed the towers from blade runner shooting out fire.

Blade Runner was aesthetically influenced by asian culture, so the similarities make sense.
