Makes less sense than I thought


I originally reckoned this movie doesn't make sense when it comes to the 'when did the Mongols rule China' stuff, but I found - can you believe it? - MORE parts that make no sense!

Completely disregarding the 'I fell out of the armor' (which would just NOT be possible, if the armor was on well enough that it doesn't fall - it's much easier for an armor to fall off of YOU than YOU to fall out of an armor, and since this never happened even with their wild movements, HOW would it be possible for him to fall out of his armor completely and also UNDETECTED by the people that are ready to stab an armor with a sword and kill another stranger? Also, HOW WEAK is that armor if you can just stab through it?)-thing..

..WHAT were Bill and Ted doing standing on the ARMOR PEDESTALS?

So first they find armors, painstakingly get into them (can't have been easy), and then they CLIMB TO THE PEDESTALS (although it's pretty hard to see in those things, I am sure) and just stand there motionlessly until it's time for the movie to show us what's going on? REALLY?

WHY?

Also, taking these historical figures out of their own time and element, bringing everyone into the DISTANT FUTURE (among other chronological 'places' (there's no word for it, I think - maybe 'locations'?) in a timemachine, would _greatly_ have changed their worldview, outlook, philosophy, thinking about life, and so on.

If your mind is warped that much, can YOU just go on with your normal life as you would have previously, or would you have stopped to think about the Universe and everything, or become insane or alcoholic or something?

Can you experience something so downright magical, as experiencing the future in multiple formats (well, different eras anyway), and then come back as if nothing happened and continue your life?

ALL these historical people would've lived completely different lives than they otherwise would have, and history would have changed SO MUCH!

Think about the butterfly effect, where even a tiny thing can cause major consequences, just HOW MUCH would history have changed if these historical figures would have experienced this kind of thing?

How did Bill and Ted prepare their presentation so quickly, if the nonsensical time limit is really affecting them? How did they not only compose the music, arrange it, play it, capture it, mix it, and play it back perfectly in sync with the events of the presentation - not to mention the lights and the little bits prepared for each 'guest'?

Why would anyone in the audience believe those are the REAL people, and why would THAT presentation earn so many points, when, from the teachers' perspective, all Bill and Ted did was to hire a 'historical act' or at least arrange such, with some actors, and that's all? They didn't particularly prove that they learned anything about history, etc. Did they ever even answer the question about Mongols ruling China?

Well, what do you know, even this movie falls apart when you think about these details we're shown. Joan of Arc's fake aerobics wouldn't have been something anyone would tried to copy or mimic, those aerobics-practicers would surely realize that's NOT effective aerobics, but just some crazy religious nut jumping up and down while flailing her arms erratically. It's like going to a Karate school and everyone would think some goofball doing random flailing is real Karate. Get real!

I have to stop now, otherwise I will be doing this for hours..
