I have a few questions
why is this rated R? Is there a bunch of sexuality in it? How gorey is it? Why?

The film itself could be shown on daytime television but the music is quite good.
The film was originally a made for TV NBC movie. So it was not rated. However, when it was released on VHS a few months later, a rated-R version was the one on the VHS. The R rated version remains on the DVD.
shareIn the uncut video/DVD, there was blood shooting out of the drain when the repair guy's hand was in the disposal as well as his hand coming out of the end of a pipe that blown off.
