Does anyone know where they filmed the exteriors of the house? it is not the same as the toms river house from the first 3 movies. I doesnt look like irt was altered in any way.

If you're talking about 112 Ocean Avenue, since this movie was made for tv, I don't think they could afford to go to Toms River for a day to film that. My best guess is the house was probably a model or a graphic painting or something.

It is a real house in California. The same house is featured in the 1995 movie "The Black Gate" and "The Darkening"

Hi Osnhenry,

I'm in the UK actually and was looking on Google Maps. I finally found the Amityville 4 grandma house. Here's the link if you want it. You can't actually see the house from Streetview, as it seems the evil lamp added glare to block out the view of the long driveway :(

Thanks for all your help!

I did it through the wonder of Google Maps.

There's a better view of the house using the Bing Maps;

Here's my question...

In the film, the house is surrounded by a cliff with water and rocks at the bottom, was that the same house? In the picture I see nothing like that surrounding the house, I'm assuming they used another filming location for those scenes?

LIke at the end of the film after the whole battle with the lamp?

Also, does anyone know where the house is that they used for the beginning of the film? It's not the same house from Toms River, but it's a house that looks similar to that house. I would love to see some recent pictures of that house, and see if it looks the same or if they changed the house at all to look like the Amityville house.

There's plenty of information on the real house and the Toms River house, but nothing on the house from the opening of Amityville 4 so if anyone knows anything please let me know!!! Thanks!

Wow I never knew that until I saw that picture... I always knew the attic was a set, especially after seeing the house in "The Black Gate", because the "eye windows" they attached to the house for Amityville 4, are removed. I figured they added that on for the movie and took it down after, much like they did to the house in Toms River for the first 3 movies.

They did a pretty good job at pulling that off, I usually notice the littlest thing in continuity, so that must mean they used 3 different locations for filming -

The "Amityville" house in the opening scene.

Jane Wyatt's home, which was used in Black Gate.

The cliff/rocks/ocean and the back side of the house where the lamp gets thrown out.

I would assume that because this film was on a limited budget they probably filmed scenes not too far from each other, hopefully someone can find out where the other two locations are.

That picture of the house from 4 is really good, you can really tell it's the same house. Thanks for all the info!

The Amityville house in the opening scene is on the corner of East M Street and North Banning Blvd in Wilmington, California. There was a construction facade added to the front to make it look like the original Amityville house.
