Does that lamp have the longest cord ever?
At the end when it goes out of the window, its wrapped around the priests arm and they cut it to stop him getting dragged with it - look how far it falls before they cut the cord!

Yeah, I notice that every time I watch it. I think it was probably an editing error since I don't think the cord is even visible once the lamp is out the window and flying through the air. What they should have done is the mom grabbing the axe as soon as she sees the grandma heading towards the window with the lamp. As soon as the lap is shown coming out the window, the mom cuts the cord with the axe. That would have been better, I think.
shareAnother thing that has puzzled me about this scene is how the grandmother is able to pick up a 35-50 pound lamp, dragging a 160 pound priest with it, and throw it out the window with no trouble at all.
