I like it but I'd argue Forrest Gump is a better movie.

Forrest Gump is a completely different animal though. This was the best Tom Hanks movie where Tom Hanks was more or less himself and probably the only good one.

Idk the last time you've seen them, but they are worth a re-watch. A lot of movies from that era understood what it meant to tell a story. Nowadays all we have are CGI and woke contest bullshit fests

tom hanx was better in the 80 when he took himself less seriously.

from 90s onward he start doing melodrama oscar baits movie and i cant stand him hahahah.

but 80s tom hanx is fantastic! so many classics!
