Problems with the DVD? HELP PLEASE!

Has anyone else had problems with the DVD picture quality? It looks totally washed out with my player. The sky is white! Is this just my stupid player or are other people having trouble with it? I'm not techno savvy and I've tried to play it on my computer with good results but I can't figure out why it's playing weird on my player. Does anyone have any suggestions? All and any help would be greatly appreciated!

What region does your DVD player have? That could be the source of the problem. If you have an other region, try changing it to region 1 on your computer and try it again.

I've noticed that there are some scenes that look washed out, almost as if the transfer to dvd came from a really poor source. It's weird because most of the scenes look perfectly fine. I'm not sure why that's happening. Same thing happens on both my dvd player and my computer.

Some scenes are more washed out due to production issues with the actual footage itself. You will notice some scenes are bright and vibrant because those scenes were digitally enhanced. You can tell the difference if you put any pre-recorded copies of the show on...look at the color changes. In fact, they added colors to the DVD set that weren't originally there (example, Lou's dress in "Lady For A Night - her hat and sash are green through most of the episode, but when you get to the later scene with Tyler her sash is white). Apparently, some of the footage either couldn't be digitally enhanced or just wasn't digitally enhanced. It isn't the player, it is the DVD set.

I'm waiting for my copy now and I want it so bad I had a dream about it last night.

Yeah I noticed that some scenes look washed out or fuzzy. I just chalked it up to the fact that it was filmed in 1989. When I got to thinking about it thats almost 20 years ago. Even with the washed out parts its still a great dvd/tv show.

Tonight's the night!
I got the DVD yesterday - today me and my mom (also a fan) are going to pull a Young Riders all-nighter. Can't wait!

My God! What a great night and what a great day it's been. Nothing but "The Young Riders". I just love the series- almost every episode is top notch (only some are a bit slow). I love the intriguing plots, the riders' friendship, the Kid + Lou attraction, Jimmy, Teaspoon. All the characters are great. It was nice to see the show again after 10 years of waiting. Nostalgia hit me big time.
I used to love Kid, Buck and Jimmy in that order - today it's more Jimmy, Kid/Buck. But Teaspoon has such charm, I totally adore his quirkyness.

I only have a couple of episodes left to watch now...I want to see them ASAP but I also want to hold back a little because there'll probably be a long wait before season 2 is out on DVD, if it's even released, and I want the episodes to last for a while.

I demand the release of the Season 2 and Season 3 DVDs!

Could it be that the scenes that look washed out were scenes that were shot but not aired originally....Maybe they were added for the DVD release?
