Speak No Evil episode question..

Okay I've been watching the episode and right before they go to the resturant Lou and Jimmy get into a spat, and she gets pretty upset, now my question is this:

Sam asked if she was okay, and he looked up (obviously watching Jimmy as he continued to walk to the resturant) do you think he knew that Lou was a girl? Cause I got the impression that he knew. Just that whole scene made it look as if he did know. And actually that would make sense if he knew, after all he is the Marshall and being a man of the badge something like that would have been obvious to him.

I think everybody but Teaspoon knows she's a girl. After the rest of the guys find out, I think it was all down hill from there. And if I remember correctly, in season 3 Lou starts walking around in a dress and asks Thompkins, the store keeper if he notices anything different and he's just like "oh, yeah, nice dress". So I don;t think she fools as many people as she thinks.

I'd give up all my tomorrow's for one single yesterday.

Yeah I sort of remember that, it was right around the time that she and Kid where getting ready to marry.

This particular episode was actually before the rest of the boys found out.

Kind of off topic but the actor that played Nickerson (Albert Salmi) died with his wife in a murder/suicide at their home about 7 months after this episode aired. On Monday, April 23, 1990, police found the bodies of Albert and Roberta, both dead of gunshot wounds. Albert had been shot in the heart, with a Colt .45, and Roberta with a different gun, a .25 caliber.

Wow I didn't know that, of course I didn't know that Christopher Pettiet (he played Jesse James on TYR), died back in 2000. He was only 24.

I personally don't think that Sam knows in SNE - I think in that particular scene he's just showing natural concern for a young boy who's been upset by an argument, in a big brother/fatherly kind of way.

But I am always convinced that Sam certainly knows by Hard Time because of the way he specifically picks out Lou when reassuring the Riders that the Kid will be okay. And the way that he looks at her when he tells her that. Emma lets Lou know in the following episode, LFAN that she is aware she's a girl, so I always figure that either Sam had already figured it out and hadn't told Emma, or Emma told Sam before she told Lou. <G>

Either that or Sam just assumes in HT - like Cody apparently did - that Kid and Lou were involved in something heavy and 'an item' without knowing she was a girl. <BG>

I agree that by Hard Time, Sam definantly new.
