Season 2 and 3?

Hi everyone...I just finished watching season 1, and now i am dying to watch 2 and 3...there are lots of people saying that sony might not make 2 and 3 because of low sales of season 1. is there any truth to that? does anyone know if we can start up a petition to get 2 and 3 out on dvd's or if there is a petition out there??? or if there is anyone we can contact? i really loved this show when i was younger, and just watching it again has been awesome.

I'm interested too. I think they would have had better sales for the show if they had better advertising that they had released it on DVD. I just happened to find it on a fluke on amazon. I hate it when they only make one or two seasons of a show and never follow up with the rest of the seasons. They did the same thing with 'Ned and Stacey' and 'Just Shoot Me' *grumble*

Well, they have set a date for season 1 to be released in region 2 (Europe), so I guess there is still hope for seasons 2 and 3 as well. I really hope the last two seasons will be released soon!!

I recently watched 'Lady for a Night' again, and I was surprised (and frustrated) by the poor quality of that episode. Only a few frames looked like they had been digitally enhanced, as opposed to most scenes in most other episodes. It's really strange that Sony (or whoever) did not do the work properly while they were at it.

Well, if you e-mail the company that distributes the DVDs there is a chance that s2 and s3 would come out. I have been looking about on fansites and a lot of people have done that.

I most certainly agree. I LOVED ( and STILL do :P) this show and HOPE they release seasons 2 and 3 as well. Please keep me posted as to if there will be a petition. I will GLADLY sign my name to get the rest of this AWESOME show on DVD.

I agree with all of you this was my absolutly favorite show. I just bought season one and I had only stumbled across it on ebay otherwise I would have never known it was even out on dvd. So maybe that is the reason sales were low. Maybe they should let people know they are selling the stuff. Anyway I tried emailing sony but mail messages got sent back to me. does anyone know how to get the email address or who to send the request to about our desire to get seasons 2 and 3 released. Also is there anyone out there that may have taped episodes from 2 and 3 that would be willing to tape them off and send what they have, if I would pay for the tapes shipping and what ever else they would like reinburst for. If so please contact me at [email protected]

Hi! I emailed Sony Pictures on May 4 and just got this reply:
"Hello,
Unfortunately, we have not set a release date for "The Young Riders" season 2 and 3. Please continue to check back to our site, sonypictures.com, where we are consistently updating new to DVD release dates.
Thank you for you interest!"

Frustrating, to say the least. Keep emailing! If fans show enough interest, they are bound to release the seasons eventually!

I'm from spain, If you are waiting for season 2 & 3...
can you imagine how I am ?
I downloaded 1st season from internet, what a lovely tv show !!!
Here it was shown in the 90s, I think only once (sometimes we have reruns)

Waiting, waiting for season 2+3 !!!

I noticed that www.videoeta.com has put up the posting for Season 2 (recent addition to the site). The site says it is a prospective release, they are speculating it will be released in the near future. You can set up for an email reminder for when it is released. Hope this helps.

I enquired about this with Sony only a fortnight ago..and the response was..

We currently do not have a published release date for this title.

It does mean much..but what I find interesting is that they have thrown the word "published" in there. Why not just say they dont have a release date? Maybe there is an unofficial date, as it seems they carefully worded that response.

I just found out about Season 1 earlier this week, and ordered from Amazon (still waiting for the shipment!). If only Sony had spent a few dollars on advertising, maybe we would have Seasons 2 and 3 in our hands by now! Do ya 'spose Sony reads these boards?! I have voted on the "dvds on tv" web site, and will send emails to Sony as well - I want to do my part in helping us all out here! Thanks for all the info!

Still keeping my fingers crossed for the release of Seasons 2 and 3. And for the release of Season 2 of Ned and Stacey, and all the remaining seasons of Just Shoot Me.
