season 32, episode 1 was brilliant

They still put out the funniest, most inventive show on TV, bar none. About half a dozen times I laughed loudly from the depths of my lungs like I haven't laughed in a long time. If based on merit alone, this show would win the Emmy nearly every year. Yes their ratings may be down but the quality is not. I think that milennials Gen Xers are disaffected due to their constant lookout for the latest new thing, or are just prejudiced against watching a show that their boomer parents like. But f them and I hope that, as they sing in one of their original songs (how many other shows produce the number of original or great song parodies that this show has produced?) "There'll always be The Simpsons!"
