In a Washington Post Op-Ed, former Simpsons writer Bill Oakley quotes Sideshow Bob saying in a 1994 episode: “Convicted of a crime I didn’t even commit. Hah! Attempted murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry? Do they?” Oakley adds: "This rhetorical absurdity, originally intended as a joke on a TV cartoon, is now being trotted out in all seriousness by the GOP" in defending Trump against impeachment. The "Sideshow Bob Defense" was coined by liberal writer Jonathan Chait.
Sounds like the old Russian KGB director who said: "show me a man and I'll show you a crime".
The Dems have been dumpster diving looking for a crime to fit their impeachment plan. Every fake story has failed miserably and is showing the country they are willing to disenfranchise millions of voters to unseat a president with no crime.
I'm not even sure which fake story they're using this week, but if it's the Ukraine story, it seems that Ukraine was not aware of any attempt to coerce help from them, and in fact, the money that was supposed to be delayed in a quid pro quo was actually delivered before Ukraine even began an investigation or knew about the quid pro quo.
You said it friend. I was a democrat many moons ago and thank God I saw the light. Trump is innocent. He's at war not only with the do nothing democrats but with his own intelligence community. It's totally obvious what theyre trying to do.
I think there's been some kind of renewed Russian/Neo-Nazi/Alt Right disinfo trolling campaign as of this year in anticipation of the election, because I've noticed a massive uptick of newly registered accounts feverishly posting on every major site that has open comments, including YouTube and especially Flipboard. And they all sound exactly like that fool above. They're so Goddamned annoying, but what are you going to do? No one wants to do anything about it.
