The marathon will take place over 13 days, from noon ET on Nov. 24, a.k.a. Thanksgiving Day, through Tuesday, Dec. 6. (The show’s 600th episode, which is Treehouse of Horror XXVII, airs Oct. 19 on mother network Fox.)
I wish they could come up with a different way to show all 600 episodes. Don't get me wrong I'm going watch and follow the marathon but second time around just isn't the same. FXX airs the show all the time.
shareI wish they would do mini marathons in themes. Like all Halloween episodes for October, or maybe March Madness theme could be all Sideshow Bob episodes. May could be Milhouse Month! (My brain is exhausted right now. It sounds like a good idea in my head.)

They do.
On Thursday nights, I don't recall offhand if they do them the other nights, but they do theme marathons. Last night was "Criminal Activity", (I forget the exact wordage but) they aired Krusty Gets Busted, Separate Vocations, Marge Be Not Proud, The Great Money Caper, Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge, 'Tis the Fifteenth Season, Crook & Ladder & Steal This Episode.
Other themes were Sideshow Bob, Abe Simpson, Skinner, Mona Simpson.

shareFXX has tended to do Treehouse of Horror October marathons since they began to rerun the show in fall 2014, and did one both in October 2014 and October 2015. I'd be surprised if they didn't do one, sometime in October of this year.
My guess is that it'll occur on one of the Sundays(probably the last one) in October, if how FXX did one(all day on a Sunday) for October 2014 and 2015 is any indication.
BTW to the person who mentioned the Thursday themed marathon blocks, don't forget FXX tends to also do those on Sunday as well.
