When did The Simpsons stop being watchable?
I say season 11. You?
sharewhen "futurama" premiered.
shareSeason 17 was the last decent season, but it stopped being great in the eleventh season

2002-2003. I think season 14?
shareIt's still watchable.
shareSeason 8 was IMO the last truly great season of the Simpsons
share2009. The last couple of episodes before they went widescreen and HD, are the end of the Simpsons for me. There have only been like 1 or 2 watchable episodes since that time. One of them was "Moonshine River", which was basically a sequel or reworking of a classic episode. The one where Homer wrongly thinks his neighbour is a terrorist and Lisa ends up "working" for Apple (it's called Mypods and Boomsticks) that episode is a marker in my head..... as it was pretty much the end of the line as far as decent plots go. I know there was one more after that with Lisa having a new best friend or something, never saw that one yet.
I have always hated that incredibly unfunny parody they did of Glenn Beck's FOX news show, "politically inept" something something whatever. Most of all it was just simply horrendously unfunny and such a plain, obvious and overdone parody. After that I just couldn't even fathom watching 10 seconds of such dreck.
Aging Simpsons writers deciding to play defense for Obama was utterly nauseating, sort of like wishing they were Jon Stewart or something. Pathetic. Reminds me of the so-called "folk singer" Pete Seeger refusing to condemn Stalin (who killed a lot of folks!)
