Reader Blind Item: This popular TV show ("Life Goes On") that ran a couple of decades ago was most well-known for its main character (Chris Burke as "Corky Thatcher") who was a first of a kind (major character with Down syndrome). The show dealt with his issues. One problem - The actor who played the character would sometimes go to the bathroom on set and other people working there would step in it. Despite being told many times not to do this, he continued. Finally one day some members of the cast and crew including this acclaimed Broadway actress (Patti LuPone) and this actor (Chad Lowe) with a more famous sibling (Rob Lowe) took matters into their own hands and held the main character down rubbing his face and mouth in his own waste. This however did not stop him and he continued to use the set as his toilet. (Chris Burke Reflects on Corky Character, Life Goes On, Down Syndrome on Upcoming Oprah: Where Are They Now?
