I saw this clip from an episode of Life Goes On where Corky fired a gun at someone he thought was a burglar! Why did Corky's parents give him a gun? Corky nearly murdered the man!
After their house was robbed Drew, the father, bought a gun for protection. Corky was watching a cop show on TV with one of his friends and heard a noise. Corky went and got the gun and pretended to be a cop like he had seen on TV. He pointed the gun and fired it at his sister Paige's friend. The friend had come to the house to return something to Paige.
They should have had the gun locked up, but they didn't "give him a gun".
to be honest, corky shouldn't even have known about the gun.
and there are such things as house alarms.
and that is also the problem with having corky being home alone watching 'impressionable' television.
I know corky had down syndrome but come on! if he is in high school [even the building] that means that his mental capacity is more than that of a 5 year old! come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but srsly... a friend coming into a house to return something.
so the house was unlocked or did the friend have a key? if the house was unlocked then everyone was retarded [sorry] in this. if you are afraid of things being stolen/being broken into... the first line of defense is a locked door.
Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.
