Hated The Events With Becca-Tyler and Jesse

First of all when "Life Goes On" first came on I thought it was a corny show and such-but I watched some of it anyway.

I saw enough to see that Becca (Kellie Martin) always had this crush on Tyler(Tommy Puett)and thought that was a cute part of the show--especially because she finally got him to go with her. Tyler was nice to her and her younger brother Corky.
But then later in the show Jesse(Chad Lowe) came into the picture. He was a character who Becca had sympathy for as he had AIDS and she suddenly (or gradually) shifted toward him and away from Tyler. They made Tyler get jealous of the situation and had Becca scolding him for his behavior. On one episode he got drunk out of jealousy and anger and with Corky in the car, had a driving accident and died.

Even though I started off not liking this show I still was surprised that they actually killed off Tyler (the big original crush of Becca)who I thought was an essential character on the show. They pushed him aside for Chad Lowe's character.I hated Becca after that.

It wasn't until years later when Kellie Martin was on "E.R" among the large cast of people that entered and left that show that I saw some closure to that situation. The character she played got stabbed and died among others who were also attacked. I could only think--good--that was payback for the ugly thing they did to Tyler's character on "Life Goes On". I know that was kind of silly thinking and they're only TV shows--but I still felt that way--lol.

I hear you. I know it's just a fictional show but some characters can be so annoying.

Another example is actress Christina Hendricks. They made her character Joan such a jerk on Mad Men and she ended up with a happy ending.

Then a month later she was on a show called Another Period, where she played this a servant treated like crap and then she was killed being pushed down the stairs and pregnant. I found that a fitting ending for her Joan character, LOL.

Oh my!! I'm watching the first episode in over 15 years. I can't believe they killed Tyler off. I don't remember that.
