They should have wrote "the wife is traveling (sick relative/work)" excuse for most of the season and have her return for the last episode.
They could've had him return to Earth and everyone is happily relieved because he's like family leading to Laura hugging him - but nothing more. The engagement was cringy.
Wait, so the episode where Urkle is in space is the series finale? I remember seeing that episode when I was in the Hospital back in December of 2014.

Thanks. I don't think I watched the finale when it first aired. I can't recall what I was doing July 17th, 1998. I would've been on summer break and just passed the 5th grade. I really can't remember.
