What happened to Uwnt Rachel?

She was there for the first four seasons and than she disappears into thin air once the fifth season begins and her little grandson is still living with the Winslows! It was so weird when she just suddenly appears again for a couple of episodes during the next season but then POOF she is gone again! They probably kept forgetting to write the character into the episodes since she was expendable by that point. Oh boy would I have been mad! I would have spoke up if I was that actress!

I always imagined that Rachel just got her own little quaint apartment with red velvet curtains and light purple carpeting just a couple of blocks away from Carl and Harryet because she got fed up with Steve always coming in unannounced. It probably killed her dating life. She probably just left Little Richard with her sister while she went out with guys so she could get married again.
