2 episodes have me in tears.....

One episode that I find quite touching, is the one where Steve goes away to college, and is quite lonely and sad in his dorm room because it is Parents Visiting Day, and as we know, his parents couldn't care less about him, and so no one comes.....until eventually the door opens, and in comes Carl ! Steve cries out " Big Guy ! ! ! " and runs into his arms. Does anyone know which Season this is in, or the title of the episode so I can try to get it on DVD ?

The second is a Christmas episode in which Steve has been annoying Laura and she snaps at him...then she falls asleep and dreams that their roles are reversed...that she is the nerd, and he is the cool one who is insensitive towards her. She wakes up feeling guilty, as now she knows how she has hurt his feelings.

Anyone feel the same ?

The one where Carl still feels guilty about the shooting victim (season 2) almost had me in tears.

The one about Harriet & Rachel's father coming back into their lives is probably the most emotional episode of the series IMHO.

Yeah I remember that episode:(

Actually, in that Christmas episode, Laura experienced being a nerd and understood Steve's feelings because her guardian angel put her into that imagined scenario where their roles are reversed.

And to be honest, this is one of the episodes which favored Steve that I really can't agree with. I do admit that Laura could have handled the situation a little better, but the episode just further established that it's always only Steve's feelings that matter, and that he has no obligation to care for the feelings of others.

The college episode was touching, though.

Laura did get her wish later in the series though, when Steve got a stalker of his own with Myra Monkhouse. That was especially clear in season 5's "Scenes from a Mall," when Myra used Steve's own pity BS against him LOL.

She doesn't really dream in that episode. She just has an angelic vision

I always cried when Mama gets married again to that fat old man who was so rude to Carl! My heart really ached for Carl but I just wanted Mama to be happy after all of the heart break she had to go through, life was so unfair to that sweet little old lady.

The episode where Carl feels guilty about the guy getting killed and he's in the cementary at his grave was the saddest for me. Another one that was sad because it hit home for me was when Laura got into Harvard but couldn't go because of money reasons.

One episode that I liked it didn't make me cry it made me say about time was when Steve finally stood up to Laura chipmunk looking ass when they were traveling across country and she was going to make him sleep in the tub or the floor and he told her NO! Lousy bih

The episode where Eddie was racially profiled by the police, because me and some friends had the same experience when we were in high school.

I remember having that feeling of helplessness like - who do you turn to when the police are the ones who have wronged you?
