Yeah a lot of long term sitcoms have episodes with similar plot lines including this show: Hence there are a couple of episodes about Laura and Eddie pulling pranks on each other and ends up hurting others while doing it. One was an earlier season and the other one took place later on when they were in college. There are also a couple about Laura doing something to prove she isn't a goody two shoes, and one she went to the strip club and the other she got drunk. But however this is the first time I've ever seen it happen four times in one show. Another recurring theme seems to be Eddie taking advantage of Urkel somehow and getting him in trouble along with him.

In the episode Rumor Has It Ted who was Lauras boyfriend spread a rumor about them sleeping together and Urkel tried to tell her about it but she didn't believe him saying he was jealous because he always wanted to be with her. In the season befodre Maxine tried to tell Laura what a creep Daniel Wallace was and so did Steve but she didn't believe them because Steve wanted to be with her and Daniel had dumped Maxine in the past.
