I thought Officer Kenneth Voiret who arrested the intoxicated female for refusing to leave someone's property did a great job handling the arrest, he kept his cool the whole time the intoxicated suspect was cussing him out and talking down at him, he also gave her plenty of opportunity to leave and she still refused, I wish Kenneth Voiret would've gotten to appear in the later Palm Beach County episodes.
I sometimes wonder what the situation would've been like if the female suspect was cussing out a police officer that is arrogant and short tempered.
I liked deputy Voiret. He appeared in some interesting segments, including the man in a wheelchair who assaulted the convenience store clerk, the man who refused to pay his bar tab, tho woman who hit her boyfriend with a knife, and the man who rearranged the furniture at the woman's segment. He was very calm in intense situations. I can't imagine how fellow deputy Jeff Lower would handle something like this. He'd probably be more aggressive. That was a very funny segment.
I was never fond of Deputy Jeff Lower at all, he was okay in the Season 11 segments but disliked him in the Season 14 & 16 segments, I can see Lower being a lot more aggressive myself, I noticed Lower worked the Graveyard shift and Voiret worked the Swing shift judging by the times of the episodes, I also remember the other segments you've mentioned, I liked how nice and respectful he was towards the man in the wheelchair who assaulted the convenience store clerk, he treated the suspect like a human being instead of a scumbag criminal which is something more police officers should be doing.
I don't get why Voiret never appeared in the later Palm Beach County episodes.
I also liked Deputy Shawn Boorman (the one legged officer) a lot and felt he didn't appear in very many episodes.
One season 16 episode with Deputy Lower that ticked me off was the one where he stopped a suspicious vehicle and found crack pipes. The way he treated both suspects made me angry. First, he got angry because one of the suspects didn't do exactly what he wanted. Then, he scolded one of the suspects because he called Lower a dude and said if he called him a dude again, "We're going to have a problem". Lastly, he said to one of the suspects in an intimidating tone, "You've got 30 seconds to tell me who's drugs it is or you're going to jail". He actually was a little funny in season 11 with the "America's Dumbest Criminals" statement.
Voiret once said in a segment that he would retire if the job was no longer interesting. In the segment where he arrested the man in the wheelchair, he apparently was run over by the same suspect in his wheelchair in a different altercation. I too wish he appeared in later seasons.
I remember the episode where Deputy Lower stopped a suspicious vehicle and found crack pipes and I agree he was a total ass in that episode, watching that episode makes me feel uncomfortable because of what a total jerk Lower is, I was happy the driver of the vehicle didn't get arrested, I'll never forget another episode from Season 16 where a racist suspect at a convenience store called Lower a fat sloppy pig! I did like the Season 11 episode where Lower dealt with a guy burglarizing a pawnshop because I thought the suspect was a bit of an idiot in that episode! Another funny Lower moment from Season 11 is where he claims his mother will be happy that he's eating his vegetables but won't be happy that he's stealing them.
I do remember Officer Voiret mentioning about getting run over by the same suspect in his wheelchair in a different altercation, I liked that Voiret didn't seem to hold a personal vendetta against the suspect, another thing what I liked about Voiret is he never shows any signs of aggression while dealing with the suspects.
I remember the shirtless intoxicated guy at the convenience store. As much as I don't care for Lower, that guy was an even bigger jerk the whole segment. It all started because the clerk told him he couldn't buy more beer.
I wonder what changed in Lower from being somewhat funny in season 11 to being a jerk in later seasons.
I'm not sure why Lower changed in the later seasons, I thought he was more likable in Season 11 than the later seasons, I agree the shirtless intoxicated guy was a total douchebag who got belligerent at the convenience store all because he couldn't buy any beer.
I do remember Lower handling the situation very well while dealing with a guy putting a knife to his roommate's throat in Season 14.
This episode actually aired on WGN earlier. One thing I forget to mention is the one suspect was on probation and supervised release in which Lower responded with "good, now you're going back to jail and won't get out" in a smug tone. The 30 seconds was actually about why the driver was in the area.
The passenger was very agitated the whole time, even arguing with the driver. Sure enough, Lower said the passenger wouldn't get out at the end of the segment.
I've totally forgotten all about the passenger being on probation and supervised released, I sometimes wonder how much time did the passenger get, I do applaud the driver for not giving in to the passenger's wants, while Lower did act smug towards the passenger I'm glad he let the driver off
