Long-time fan's Top Ten Cops Moments

I'm never sure of what season or episodes these are from, so if people know, let me know.

10. Mardi Gras guy who pee'd on a police car, right in front of the cops.

9. The midget circus performer in Las Vegas doing backflips and climbing poles to escape the police.

8. When they break into the wrong house, thinking it was on fire, instead of next door!

7. Any episode where the perp wants to talk to their mom for some sympathy, but then the mother screams at them and promises to beat them when they get home!

6. Cop: We found these drugs in your pocket.
Perp: Those aren't my drugs.
Cop: But they were in your pants.
Perp: These aren't my pants.

5. The sting in the subway. Fake-drunk undercover cop getting his watch stolen.

4. "I don't sell crack. I'm a prostitute!"

3. The drunk guy in New Orleans bar. They must have sprayed 2 or three full cannisters of pepper spray at him, but he wouldn't quit. The Cops themselves got nailed with their own mace, but the perp fought through it.

2. Change of pace: The single dad in Seattle who was about to lose his kids because their home was filthy. The cops gave them an hour to clean it, and they teamed up and worked hard to keep their family together. The cops helped by bringing them food. Very touching segment.

1. Number one moment: The police sting inside the semi-truck in New Jersey, where they kept busting people trying to steal VCRs. I love the onlookers laughing at the perps.

I really liked 2 that was very sweet of them. 8 was hilarious.

I remember no. 2 but have not seen it in a long time. Very moving segment. Along those lines, I also remember her being really moved by the segment in Oregon where the cop couldn't tell a man his wife had died in a car accident. He kept telling him, "Your girls need you more." At the very end of the segment, the cop was able to tell him the truth but the man knew.

As for favorites, the one in Atlanta where the transvestites were busted with stolen credit cards. The blonde claimed that her boyfriend had given her his and that she was "supposed to pick up some groceries and then all meet at a party in Marietta."

And any episode from Vegas!

The regular cops that shows on Spike are the best. I don't like the reloaded ones where it's all high speed crazy stuff.

So many funny, interesting, scary moments.
But one that comes to mind that I wish I could see again?

They're in either a house or a commercial space on the second floor - trying to wrestle down a black man who was obviously really high on something and super strong. He was completely naked and covered in oil or butter. He comes stomping down the stairs with at least four officers trying unsuccessfully to grip him and stop him. He had a crazy looking in his eye, staring right at the camera which was on the first floor at the bottom of the stairs looking up.

The camera man must've gotten mesmerized or something, because he didn't move! But he was coming right at us and at the very VERY last minute the camera man turns and runs out of the door!

1. The genius who decided to get into a high-speed chase with a rolling meth lab in his trunk. It's not like that would be explosively flammable or anything. I think he crashed the car, in any case he somehow got the chemicals all over him, and had to be hosed down in the middle of the street.

2. The Hispanic man who was caught on camera doing a line of coke or meth off of the top of a urinal. When he was arrested, he pretended not to speak English, and kept saying "Qué? Qué?"

3. Yet another naked, high/crazy person, who broke into a school at night. He was spraying the cops with a fire extinguisher.

4. The entire Russian episode.

A recent favorite of mine is when they were patting someone down at the station and a joint falls out of the guy's crotch. Of course he says, "that's not mine!" The cops just all bust out laughing. I think this was a rate Cops where they show jail footage, but it could have been a Jail episode.
