My wife saw it yesterday or the day before, an old rerun where a husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend are at an outdoor patio restaurant. The woman is acting out, screaming and yelling and calms down at first, then runs to the police car. The cops restrain her and she explains that she was going to turn on the windshield wipers in case it rained. The cops end up letting her go(?). The husband or boyfriend who seemed calm and sober, and was trying to diffuse the situation, is arrested for Public Intoxication.

Why arrest the man who is being calm and quiet and let go the total mental case?

For once I agree. Their decision made zero sense. That woman was clearly off her rocker.

I just saw that episode again myself this past Friday on Spike; I really thought she should have been arrested at least for disorderly conduct because her behavior was disturbing and agitating others who were just minding their own business. I'm surprised they didn't at least call an ambulance to take her for mental evaluation as well as observation; my former sister-in-law once had a similar uncharacteristic meltdown in public and was taken away for a 72-hour hold in the local hospital's mental health wing...

The cop could possibly smell alcohol on his breath and females are known to be nuts regardless of whether or not they drink. lol

Better watch out, better start crying. Better hurry up, run and hide. Krampus is coming to town! >:)
