Nobody asks to be a hero, it just sometimes turns out that way
Where did you get ur info?
shareIt's on Amazon right now:

I Just picked it up today, my only complaint was the fact that the episodes are in no Chronological order and the set is lacking the 5 episode pilot, the quality of the picture is good and the sound has been cleaned up a little, but is still in mono, but for the price it was a great deal. Hopefully Ducktales wasnt as poorly done, as chronology is alot more important in that series.
shareIt's a valid complaint, soatome, but the show was really episodic. Very few episodes are necessary to be viewed in a certain order (example: have the initial episode with the pi-rats before the episode where they meet up again), so I don't mind as much.
I would've liked the pilot in this set, though maybe they're releasing it on a seperate DVD. The sound and picture are great compared to how it looked on TV, I'm happy with the purchase.
why is it not on Amazon.co.uk ?? I live in the UK and want this badly grrrr

Aww man, can you not get it in the uk? I got rather excited when i thought i could get a copy, as a lot of happy childhood memories came flooding back, i loved this show!

Actually, the 5 part "To the Rescue" episode was not the pilot, nor was the Ducktales "Quest for the Golden Sun" five-parter. Even though both are stories of how the main characters met, neither was actually a pilot episode--both were produced later in their respective show's run.
For that reason, it's been suspected that Disney might include these episodes in Volume 2 (if/when that gets released).
I can't believe they released this show on DVD. I am so happy and will definitely buy it. I loved watching this show when I was younger. However, Duck Tales and Gummy Bears were my favorite. To my surprise Duck Tales also just came out on DVD and I will buy every volume when they come out. Woo hoo for DVDs and companies realizing its great to release old shows for their viewers.
shareIf we buy the DuckTales and Rescue Ranger sets, we might be able to convince Disney that there is a market for old cartoons. Maybe then we'd get to see titles like 'Gummi Bears: Volume 1' and 'TaleSpin: Complete First Season' next time we go to Best Buy.
shareI just got done with Volume 1, when will volume 2 come out???
shareI don't know if anyone checks this anymore, but for people in the UK who don't know.
