Has anyone ever read these? Are they any good? I didn't know they existed but someone recently mentioned them to me and thought I might enjoy them since I'm an 8-bit NES era nut.

Well, here we are, nearly three years to the day of my post and I still haven't picked these up. It's just that I collect so much that these always seem to get pushed down the list.
I mostly want them as collectibles, though I would be curious to give a few of them a read.

I have a few. I read the Castlevania II one. Very cheesy, and it's unlike the others in that it features a kid from the real world being pulled into the game world - kinda like Captain N!

I've read most of them when I was little. I remember Castlevania and MegaMan being two of my favorites. MEtal Gear and Ninja Gaiden were ok. Hated the Bonic Commando tho.
shareI had the Megaman 2 novel as a kid. Was about the blue bomber becoming human, something the game's ending hinted at, I suppose. I guess the interesting thing was it means that Mega Man was a complete robot during the events of the original game. No self awareness or feeling or pain until Dr. Light did whatever experiment he did to him.
I had some Super Mario Bros. choose your own adventure books too.

Mind.. blown.. I haven't thought about these books since 4th grade, whence I remember reading the Simon Belmont Castlevania book and the Blaster Master book.
