China a prototype for Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
I believe I first saw the movies WAXWORK and BUFFY in the same year. When I was a kid, the characters of China and Buffy totally reminded me of each other, both being beautiful blonde, snobby, vapid girls having to fight vampires.
Since WAXWORK came out four years before BUFFY did, I can't help but wonder if Joss Whedon got the idea for BUFFY from watching China in the vampire scene.
