The 'UNRATED' debate!

Ok so i checked thru and this came up before and i heard people say the uncut version runs 97mins But i just bought the "Uncensored" version that has a runtime of 100 mins.
My old R-rated VHS runs 97 mins!

The "uncensored" version did have some gore added in...
But one person stated that Dragon entertainment sold a fully uncut version with special features.

Does anyone own the dragon release and if so what is in it that was missing from the other versions?

100 mins - is that's what the VHS cover says or you actually check the runtime by yourself? Are you sure those "100 mins" do not include the trailers/commercials (or whatever) at the beginning/end of the tape?

They usually put the same ads for both versions. Hellraiser II and III are examples of this. I don't own Waxwork, but I want to get the unrated VHS.

Is the 2 on 1 DVD release unrated?

100min is a typo thats been around senice the old vhs and laserdisc days. 97 min is the unrated version. r-rated is 95min. I have the unrated laserdisc and it runs 97min and it's the same as the DVD.

can we please end this!!!!!!

I did a side-by-side comparison of the R-rated and Unrated versions. The runtime of both versions is 97 min (NTSC). R-rated version is only about 5 seconds shorter. The only scene in R-rated version that suffered some minor cuts is the "Vampire" scene.
All DVDs except the UK Lionsgate DVD are UNRATED.
The widescreen Region 2 UK DVD from Lionsgate - R-rated version.
In fact, the difference between R-rated and Unrated versions is so minor that it's not even worth mentioning.

Dont know about the modded stuff the other people said so Ill include my two cents. Here is what I noticed in the 2 in 1 dvd version in comparison to the original VHS. I would say it is about 1 second total for each scene of violence.

The Werewolf scene:

- Cuts before the complete head rip

The Vampire scene:

- Cuts before the full head explosion in the cellar.
- Cuts before you see the piece from the leg picked off.

Mummy scene:

- Cuts before the black ooze stuff comes out of the mummy (VERY noticeable because the next seen his mouth and body has residue dripping).
- Cuts before the full head step.

Basically nothing was completely removed but a few frames of gore. The movie has the before and after but not the middle part actually showing the action. It would be like seeing a car get up to the point where it is about to hit a guy, then showing his body laying there, cutting out the impact and flying through the air. ALMOST discernible stuff, unless you are a gore freak like myself.
