The amount of money

All throughout the movie, the amount that was agreed upon for the engine in the back of the Cadillac is $5 million. He even writes out the number on the paper that the hitman finds in his garbage at his house. So at the end when he's going off about how much money they gave up, why is it that he says FOUR million dollars? Did he convince Julius to keep a million for their troubles?

I'm watching the movie now but it's not that far in...however I've seen it so often...I think Vincent just -kept- a million and then told the cops the agreed upon amount was and had always been only four million so there would be no questions. Then at the end they're like, set for life.

They received reward money for returning the engine, although I think it's only about $100,000.00. And they only have about $12,000.00 when they are done punching the numbers before their mother comes in.

The odd thing is, Webster got a lot ($5 million), for just driving a car out of a country? If there's more danger involved that what happened (which occurred because , it's actually cheap. But I don't know if I should think of the amount as $10 million to account for inflation.

Vincent snuck $1 million from the case, and did not tell Julius. The only other people that knew there was $5 million originally were all dead.

I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.
