The Funniest moment in TWINS

I thought the funniest moment in TWINS was the scene when Julius (Arnie) drives
Vince's (Danny) car into the supermarket car park and he is driving the car on only two wheels and the look on Julius's face. That scene made me crack up with
laughter.

Whats wrong with Arnie hey??
He's a legend

reply

My favorite part is when Arnold compared his bicep to the poster of Stalone in Rambo III and scoffed b/c his was bigger.

reply

Yeh that was funny - does anyone know if he really lifted that caddy????

reply

I get the feeling he would've. If he can lift the tree log in Commando, then i'm sure he could lift the back of a car :)

reply

Yeah, I am just reading his biography by Laurence Leemer. It is facinating. At 21 he was 250lb almost 18 stone of could bench press 500lb !!!! Serious weight lol. Well worth a read for any Arnie fan even though it is worts and all.

reply

I'm reading that book too. I am almost done it. It's really good..I wish they put more pictures in it though

reply

Arnie is truly one of a kind....the last great bodybuilder.

reply

I love how 'Squwaargy' [no offense to the fans, I just like to call Arnold that.. it's easier lol] says 'We're twins!!'
And then Danny replies- "Oh OBVIOUSLY!" How he says obviously just cracks me up every time.. I could say a million [a MILLION :P] other stuff that amused me, but I'll lay off for a while. lol

Alfred Molina
Will Sampson
Danny DeVito
and Buddy Hackett

Know them and like them? TALK TO MEEEEE!!

Funniest part was when Arnold said "We're twins!" And Danny Devito said "Oh obviously! For a moment I thought I was lookin' into a MIRROR!" Sorry repto, had to elaborate it.

reply

i like when the guy says "if you can do better then 5 million dollars" and u hear vincement on the other end of the line mumble. i also think its funny when he throws the secretarys gift in the bin when she walks off.

reply

i have birthday too!

We're not soldiers and he's not the enemy. He's a pizza man.

reply

the best part is arnold's face after sex with Kelly Preston. A close second, however, is the Rambo poster.

reply

when arnold says "cookies?!" that line is so *beep* funny.

reply

Tonight is your night bro!

reply

When Julius lifted the car in the parking garage and Vincent, shocked, lifts his head from under the wheel and looks at Julius stunned.

Melvin Udall: Sell crazy somewhere else, were all stocked up here. ::Slams door in womans face::

reply

That was very funny and the look on Arnold's face during the whole thing was priceless.

reply

I'd say the whole "grilled cheese under the windshield wiper" scene. Classic!

"action!", director

Arnold is a beast, but I don't think he actually lifted the car in that scene. If you look at the angle the picture is shot at when he's lifting, it doesn't shot the entire vehicle, so I'd have to think it's a camera trick.

Funniest moment is the look on Arnold's face after he gets laid. I always thought that scene in the bathroom where devito and arnold are wearing the same clothes and wash their hands at the same time and everything was hillarious. This movie is more than just a comedy to me, it's a great drama, shows how two people who are complete opposites can bond. There's a couple punches and kicks here and there that are cool too.

Wait a minute... there IS a funny moment in Twins? If thats the case what am I doing here?

Joking aside, the last time I watched Twins I ended up sleep-walking in the corridor of my block of flats naked screaming about writing an article ("YOU MUTHAS!") and finally ended up trying to deficate into my bin.

I suggest you don't watch Twins for that very reason.

I mean, it could have been the drink...

reply

yes that is a classic scene!! i also loved when they are in the supermarket and they meet the ladies for the first time together. and when arnie and preston just had sex and the look on his face is priceless! also when arnold lifts the car. and when danny talked about the $4 million and we realize that he took $1 million for himself. all great scenes in one of my all time favorites!!

reply

love that too. and the song in the background is perfect for the scene.

reply

nah its when they first meet when devito is in prison and arnie talks but doesnt use the phone..then later devito says oh yeah course we're twins its like lookin in the mirror!!

reply

Haha, the "OH OBVIOUSLY" really cracks me up too...

The scene where he mumbles 5 Million... "FFFAMMMmmm.... FfffAammm!"

But the one i crack up everytime is when Arnie says " You named your cat, Juuulius!", then Devito looks up at him very slowly... the look on his freaking face is priceless!

reply

"Cookies?"

Opinions are like a**holes, everyone got one, and most of them stink.

reply

Everything about this movie is hilarious! It's one of my favorites.

reply

a great moment is when the chain is finished falling and DeVito says, "Now there's a guy whos got a lot on his mind."

reply

devito:You're a virgin?
Arnie: That's private... the way he says it always makes me laugh

reply

My best two parts:

Julius: (Amazed) "He has no respect for logic!"
Vincent: "But he's got an axe!!!"
Danny deVito's delivery makes the line absolutely hilarious

And, even though is not a line, I gotta love the moment when all four are in the car at night and Kelly Preston gets close to Arnie while sleeping, he gets what we could call a "bicep erection" and breaks the sleeve of his shirt. I find this particularly funny because the first time I watched the movie I was about ten years old and I completely missed the innuendo (just thought: "Wow, he's strong!"); I had to watch it a few years later to pick that up. Talk about jokes that go way over the heads of kids. Oh, well, I gess that innocent minds always corrupt with time...

And by the way, does anyone know if Arnold was actually capable of doing that by himself, or was it a trick?
