I love this movie! Why all the hate?
It's got two big stars, doing a great job. Arnold is in his prime, so much better here as an actor than he ever was as governor. Danny Divito gives a great performance. I laughed, I cried. The "lost family" angle was so powerful, it really touched me.
What am I missing? Why didnt this get a much higher score?
I agree. This is a very funny movie. It does have an 8 IMDB rating at this time though. That's pretty high at this site.

Yeah, the crime element is a little too focused on, and without it the film would have barely any meat to it. Probably would be about 30 mins long.
But they make it work.
