"Tucker" I believe.

Do you mean how was it branded in marketing, or are you talking about a brand name?

It was called the Tucker Torpedo and the Tucker 48 (since it was designed in 1948).

As far a marketing, there really was very little since the company folded before the cars had a chance to be mass produced (and hence why we have this movie).

Tucker did a little marketing...he sponsored a car in the 1947 Indianapolis 500. It was a rear-engined Miller chassis with an Offenhauser engine, and was driven by Al Miller. The car qualified 19th, and completed only 33 laps due to magneto failure, finishing 25th. The pairing of Tucker, who was touting his rear-engined passenger car and the rear-engined Miller race car was a natural; many believe that the concept for the Tucker was actually Harry Miller's idea...he and Tucker joined forces at Indy in 1935 when Tucker persuaded Henry Ford to enter a 10 car race team at the Speedway, and he showed Tucker his plans then. Miller died in 1943.
