Sofia Coppola?

in that montage of scenes where Tucker is going on his PR tour, there's a bimbo thrust under his arm that strikes me as looking a helluva lot like a young Sofia Coppola. she would've been 17 or so when this film came out, so is it possible that Francis Ford Coppola stuck her into this film just before they started on what was to be her magnum opus role in Godfather Three???

reply

Yep, that's her.

Sofia RULES!!!Obviously acting wasnt her calling Directing IS-IMO she's one of the best young directors in H'wood-From her short "Lick the Star" to "Lost In Translation" and "The Virgin Suicides" to "Marie Antoinette" she has a personal style/vibe that is unmistakeable in her films. A quality all the best directors have.

Sofia's one of a handful of contemporary directors(and living Legends) who's films I get the most excited to see...others being(in no order)-David Lynch, Wes Anderson, The Coen Bros, Woody Allen, Tarantino, Scorsese, Mamet, Polanski, Besson, Fincher, Gus Van Sant, Rodriguez, CuarĂ³n, Boyle, FF Coppolla, Peter Jackson, del Toro, Eastwood, Paul Thomas Anderson, Speilberg, Ang Lee, Clooney, Soderberg, Linklater, Mann, O.Stone, Jim Sheridan, J.Sayles, Todd Haynes, R.Scott, Spike Lee, Spike Jonze, M. Night Shyamalan, Terrence Malick, David Cronenberg, Schnabel, Sean Penn, The Mayseles Bros., Steve James, William Gazecki, Errol Morris,Michael Moore, Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, Ken Burns,,,,and Im sure I've left out a few(I actually have more faves than I thought before starting this list??!!)

She's also on the cover of the Masters of Reality's "How High The Moon" and Redd Kross's "Third Eye" albums. She's the naked girl wearing the Todd Rundgren mask on the Redd Kross cover.
