I'm watching this now for the first time (I'm 31 years old, should have seen it by now I know) and i honestly thought the character Lew Hayward was played by Christopher Lloyd. Does anyone else see the resemblance or have I had too much eggnog?

The ghost version of Lew? Maybe, though I personally don't see it. Handsome (even in his later years) John Forsythe looked nothing like Christopher Lloyd! Do you mean Christopher Plummer?
