So, Frank screams at Grace about having to work late and Grace is seen making a phone call, presumably to reschedule her appointment with Calvin. Yet, in the next scene, Frank is seen walking the street with his brother while Grace heads home with her son. In addition, Frank is on his way to accept his "Humanitarian of the Year" award, which was obviously planned in advance and would prevent him from being able to work late in the first place. I've seen this movie a billion times and just caught that last night. Just thought it was odd...

Turning up for the award - which he despised - could also be called working. It was an extension of his career.

She is taking her son home and then going back to work, I guess. Also, remember, Cross went back after getting the award as well.

I just watched the movie for the first time since last Christmas and found the scene after he accepts his award funny. You hear the Cab Driver tell him it'll be $4.85 for the ride and he says, "Here's 5." then walks out leaving the award in the back seat. The Cab Driver might keep that award and sell it thus it's a great tip.

I know this post is few years old now, but I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this!

I spotted this very same thing a few years back, and now every time I watch it I can't "unsee" it...
