I thought the funniest part was at the beginning when they were viewing the promos: "Robert Goulet's Christmas in the Bayou" and a Christmas Carrol production with Buddy Hackett as Scrooge, Jamie Farr as Marley and Mary Lou Retton as Tiny Tim.
I only have to say to myself "with Buddy Hackett as Ebenezer Scrooge" and I chuckle.
I thought it was at the taxi scene when he says to the taxi driver "I know what's going on" and then the taxi driver "disappears" into the TV set and waves and Frank yells "What's going on!?"

shareone neat thing was having the guy with the goofy voice from the police academy movies start off talking pretty normal to by the end break out completely with that weird voice, also the discussion "scrooge" has with mitchum about cats and dogs watching television, overall though i agree with the re occurring comments on this board about it feeling rushed, and critics don't give this movie very high rating either, it really isn't very funny. the opening of the movie looks like a modern corny christmas movie and the development of that scene with lee majors coming in on a snowmobile was like an actual 1980's cannon production, strange how in the presentations of the holiday airings "a christmas carol" is being referred to as "scrooge", also they talk about kojak in a past tense but even though the series ended in the 1970's kojak returned in tv movies around the time this movie was made, all the way up to the 1990's, the cab reminded me of "back to the future" and like a time machine, also the movie with that very name, they travel to the same year as the first "back to the future" too.

shareI would watch all of the parody TV shows from 80s movies. "Climbing For Dollars" from "Running Man" was gold and "It's Not My Problem" from "Robocop"....I'd buy THAT for a dollar.
shareI'm not even sure this is supposed to be considered funny but a scene that makes me laugh is when he meets the corpse of the homeless guy that had been at the homeless shelter that Claire worked at earlier in the film. Just the way Frank says, "You'd be a prettier color! I'll tell you that!"
