I watched a really old VHS copy of this several years ago, late at night. I think there was an epigraph at the start, but I can't find it anywhere now. I even watched a friend's DVD, just to check. There is no opening quote on it. Was I just dreaming or does anyone else remember it?

at the end of the film is saying something like: This film is dedicated to the brave people of Afghanistan and its struggle against the Russian invaders
