Gawddamn you, Gawddamn you ... (Spoiler)

So, after ... what ... almost 30 years of enjoying Pumpkinhead, I gleefully noticed something that I never noticed before.

When Ed was yelling "Gawddamn you," he was hitting himself repeatedly while his eyes were closed. He was NOT saying "Gawddamn you" to the witch but to himself for unleashing Pumpkinhead.

When the witch said, "He always has, Son. He already has." She was not talking about herself. She was talking about Ed. God already damned him, because he will now to be the new Pumpkinhead.

Makes the movie all the more powerful to me.

I love Pumpkinhead.

Yes!!! Although I do see how one might interpret the scene as Ed damning Haggis, I believe he was indeed referring to himself, as was Haggis when she replies "he already has son, he already has".
At that point I don't think Ed realized that he would become the next Pumpkinhead, but I do think he realized that he was in fact damned by his own hand.
Pumpkinhead is a wonderful film and easily my favorite when it comes to horror.

It is indeed. Thank you, my avatar is a life size Pumpkinhead bust I bought a few years ago and is probably my most prized item from my Pumpkinhead collection (:
