Great scene. I think this movie is underrated for sure. It seems that females under 18 rates this 9.2!!? Mark Harmon is it?
shareyes, Mark Harmon :-).
shareThis movie is awesome, I can't believe more people don't love it!
shareWhether you are 18 or 80, Sean Connery can do it for you :P

I found it really boring. The crime aspect of the story was dumb. The other aspects of the story were incredibly cheesy. I thought it was poorly cast, and badly acted. Even Sean Connery was a little off. Mark Harmon was terrible. Meg Ryan was even worse. This is truly an example of bad cinema.
I gave it a 2 out of 10.
Generally I don't like these kind of political who done it thrillers like The Generals Daughter, No Way Out, etc but I've always liked this movie even as a kid. The thumb fight was great and this movie also has the best foot chase scene ever in movie cinema.
shareWhat a rubbish film. Ryan and Harmon think they can generate chemistry by staring.
Ryan resembled a rag doll, okay, so it was the 80s. The foot chase was laughable, after running through numerous alleys and restaurants, the bad guys know exactly where and when they are going to come out. Lame.
I liked No Way Out, I find it much better than Presidio. Even the last twist in No Way Out, that many comments find to be over the top just made me laugh, but it didn't spoil the movie. The story in Presidio simply has no twists, it is weak, and those chasing in the streets can't replace a story. It's especially bad for Hyams because I remember his street scene from his Capricorn One as the best and most adrenaline-raising one I've ever seen (mostly because of the camera position).
However, I wouldn't agree with those who emphasize Presidio's miscast. In fact, I see the cast to be the only reason to watch the movie, if not for them I couldn't keep my attention as there was not much happening on the screen. I realize that everybody has his own favorites and find them the better option for the movie, but neither of these actors are my favorites - however, I think that they've done a great job making the best they could from such a simple, almost boring screenplay.
very witty. one quibble. an old guy barks at someone: 'i'll shove your head so far up your ass you'll be talking out of your armpit!'
if they had actually shown that? well, that's the only thing holding me back from giving this a 10 so far...
