Perhaps imdb should overlook how their recommendation system works.

Well I like Powaqqatsi and Kindergarten Cop but yeah... I get what you mean. That is outrageous. I normally just ignore IMDB's recommendations because more often then not they are wrong.

I think those recommendations are assigned by software using some sort of algorithm or meta-whatever rather than a person applying logic.
It makes perfect sense.
Movie 01 sucks, so maybe a viewer moronic enough to like it will also like Movie 02 that also sucks.
The algorithm might be wiser than most posters here..
