ignoring part two? carol anne refers to herself as a california peson in this one, but by the end of the sequel she was living in arizona.

They removed the sequel but left the house [in California apparently].

I'm sure it's a direct sequel to part 2. Just because she's no longer living in California doesn't mean she can't refer to herself as a "California girl". Plus the main baddie is still Kane, who was introduced in part 2.
