worker from the real Mystic Pizza restaurant wanted!

Hi,
I wonder, if someone can tell me a little bit of the real restaurant. How often do people come in and have questions about that time? Does it still happen? Or is it every day?
Regards,
Ines

Well I just want to say that I had lived in Mystic all my life and you can even see my family's house in the movie. Anyway that pizza place is always busy and the tourist still ask tons of questions about the movie. If you ever go to the restaurant they do have pictures from the movie and some candid ones off screen with the stars.

Grew up near Mystic....Pizza isn't that good but the town is great

You grew up near Mystic? Can't help but be excited--I've resided in Connecticut my entire life and once worked for both Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium. I've always enjoyed the area.

Downtown Mystic is nice with it's little shops, but I feel it's the walking (or driving) through the hidden seaside places that makes Mystic what it is. Time simply passes with the roll of the tide. Also:

- I believe some of the shots in the film were actually taken in New Hampshire.
- The pizza is interesting, at best. Not bad but not typically expected-- Spicy. However, there is a fabulous ice-cream shop immediately over the drawbridge (info. for tourists)that rarely fails to please. Check out the blueberry ice cream. Fabulous stuff ( I think an historical recipe is used.)

Actually the movie was filmed in various Connecticut towns and 2 towns in Rhode Island also. Nothing from New Hampshire though.

I've heard there were a couple of places it was filmed in, including Maine and New Hampshire. As for other Connecticut towns, I'd guess that the lobstering scene was filmed at Abbott's lobster house in Noank--a little lobster "village" 2 mins. from Mystic. The house of the architect looks like it was intended to be on an outlet on Fisher's Island Sound in Stonington, a town bordering Mystic.

Its always crowded, especially in the summer, but the pizza is ok, its not like amazing or anything, just good pizza and yea I love the village even though its like one street and than theres water lol.

remember your unique, just like everyone else!!!

I visited Mystic about 10 years ago. The town was beautiful and the people seemed very friendly. The pizza place looks completely different than it does in the movie. Wasn't crazy about the pizza, though.

As a Connecticut native all my life, I think Mystic is a great place to visit, but the pizza really isn't that great...if you want great pizza, head towards New Haven instead!

"I don't appreciate your ruse."
"My what?"
"Your cunning attempt to trick me."

Thanks for the heads up.
