Kat , Daisy or Jojo ? - Mystic Pizza (1988) Discussion

I really liked Kat. She was a sweet, soft-spoken, and intelligent girl, and it was clear from the beginning that she knew the affair was wrong. Annabeth Gish gave such a great performance that I sympathized with her rather than saw her as a harlot trying to steal away someone's husband. She cared for him and his daughter, and she knew that, in the end, the affection could never fully be reciprocated.

Exactly my point in another post. Kat gets a free pass because she is homely looking and not sexy. I personally don't see the difference. Also she didn't act like she knew it as wrong. She acted like she was well within her rights and felt no sympathy for the wife or child.



Obviously the "hottest" was Roberts but her character was too high maintenance. She was just too bitchy. Redeems herself a bit when she comforts her sister. Very passionate which shows itself many ways. Jojo was very cute and seemed down to earth and fun. A good choice for any guy. The best catch is probably Kat. Looks, brains and personality.

Daisy was hot in an obvious "showy" way, but Kat was very strikingly beautiful in a quiet, demure way. Kat gets my vote, she was very likeable. JoJo was great too, with a lot of humour. I wouldn't call Daisy a bitch, she just seemed to be pretty miserable and dissatisfied with small town living. Highly strung is a better word for her.

I would go for Kat or Jojo, don't care for the flashy, temperamental type that is Daisy. I prefer a woman who is intelligent and kind and who would like to live a quiet life in a small town.

The movie really made the town and area look like a nice place to live.

Has to be Daisy, how could a normal red blooded male get beyond her beauty? I sat through this chick flick with my girlf jut to watch julia roberts. The other two are pretty plain in comparison.
