The Best thing about this movie is the music
David Shire did a great score for this film. The music gets under your skin. You'd do best to ignore Chromium 5 and his low worthy review.

shareand the monkey. it'd be nothing with out the monkey.
shareRight on. A first-rate score, and an underrated film.
shareand a damn fine monkey. seriously. that monkey can act. i heard that there was also a monkey related to this one that that acted for several years in an off broadway production of "the importance of being ernest". and that monkey was even better then the one in this movie, monkey shines. he was such a convincing actor most people in the audience didn't even realize he was a monkey, until the end, when he takes his diaper off and throws his own feces at the audience. i heard this really happened.
sharei agree, the music stands out the most to me about this movie as does the opening title sequence. its all very eerie
shareIt's a great score. Like most of my favorite horror scores, what separates it from the lousy keyboard/synth/athematic approaches usually taken with horror scores is the striking use of a.) unusual orchestrations, and b.) melody. The main title in particular has a really beautiful, lyrical scope to it. I wish horror films were still scored this way.
