Do Jack and Marvin Pay for everything out of pocket?

So Jack and Marvin are Bounty Hunters who can be assigned to get someone local or cross country for a fee.....Yet do they pay for all expenses out of pocket? I mean sure Eddie maybe gives them something good for their catches, but after Taxes and expenses how do they live? Jack was offered 100K for getting the Duke (254K in 2023 dollars) Which is solid. But after Taxes and the 5 planes tickets he purchased (1 to get jack to NY, 2 were first class that they had to get off, 2 to get back to LA from Vegas at the end), rental car, Gas, Train tickets, Bus Tickets, etc not a ton going to be left. So I always wondered if part of Jack and Marvins job was they had to pay their own expenses.

Everything.

It's all the cost of doing business for them, same as with any independent contractor. Fortunately, they can use those expenses to reduce their taxable income.

Good point, I forgot since he is most likely 1099 he could write a lot of that off.

Plane Tickets and Hotels are not cheap, but let say this adds up around 20k in todays money, maybe 50k, if you really only get the expensive stuff. But then there would be still 200k todays money left. Just checked first class la new york today for 2200 each. And the expenses he definitely can claim for taxes, I don't see that there is not at the end still a nice leftover for him.
Furthermore, considering he exactly know how much he gets, all expenses spent are fully voluntary. If he wanted to save money, he could have e.g. get less expensive tickets. So I can only assume he is OK spending the money.
