It would be nice to think that upon Serrano's arrest and prosecution...

the corrupt officers in Chicago get their just desserts?

reply

I wonder if he would have gotten some fancy, high priced lawyer to get him acquitted on a technicality. And then both Walsh and Mardukas would have been marked men and had to constantly watch their backs. But maybe I'm just overthinking it too much.

Hey, we're still waiting for the corrupt to get served.

Most great films deserve a more appreciative audience than they get.

reply

Even nicer than that would be if Jack got his family back as well. Corrupt officers getting what they deserve would be extremely satisfying though (and more likely to happen than the former).

You want something corny? You got it!

The actual term is "just deserts," not a dessert like after a meal.

Why would Serrano take care of the disks himself? He has many people under him who could have gotten the disks so Serrano would not be directly involved. Only bad move in an otherwise perfect story.

Serrano could have had somebody pick up the disks, but I think he wanted to be there to see both Jack and the Duke die since his orders had been screwed up throughout the movie.
