I did when I first saw it on HBO back in the Summer of 1989.

Maybe little kids liked it, but I remember hearing how bad it was from the start. Many of the reviews were merciless and hilarious. I was a teen who loved to find bad movies and "Mac and Me" did not disappoint. I felt the worst for Christine Ebersole (the mom) whom I had enjoyed in other projects. That was probably around the time she realized she wasn't landing good roles in Hollywood and decided to move to New York to restart her career on the stage, where she became a multiple Tony-winning performer.

I think even as a kid I knew it was a bad movie - I specifically remember laughing at it and doing the hand thing the aliens do - but did I enjoy it? Kinda, yeah. It's the definition of a guilty pleasure.
