shareIf snakes can't hear, why was she attracted to the sound? It only works with snake charmers because the snake is studying the movement of the instrument.
"I've been living off toxic waste for years, and I'm fine! Just ask my other heads!"
She was attracted to the sound, because unlike in the book, where the lady and the snake are one and the same, in the film, they are two different entities. Yes, the lady had the sinuous movements of a snake, could spit venom like a spitting cobra, and could sprout fangs and bite a person, but, she also maintained some of her human qualities, which seems to mean her hearing and her love of music. Which is proven by that scene in the film, where she says something like: "Let's have some music." And she picks up a music cd, and the unlucky, or lucky, boy scout misunderstands her and starts playing his harmonica or mouth organ, and she starts moving like a snake to his music. Until she manages to take his instrument away from him.
share"Och aye!" That bagpipe music gave me a headache. I watched it a few months ago and I can still hear the music echoing in my head.
