Disgusting and gross...

I don't know why, but this film really grosses me out and churns my stomach, but in the best way possible. I can't explain why but it's just really... Icky. I think it might be the over the top camp style, the music, the fact it's about worms and we see Peter Capaldi noshing down on them. There's just something about it that makes me wanna hurl but... I love it.

All good reasons, or it may be that we know what is going to happen to a character in the film, even ere they do. For example . . .

6 Don'ts or Do Be Sorry!

1. Don't walk thru the wood in the dark or alone.
2. Don't touch the stuff on the wall.
3. Don't get into a car . . . with a stranger.
4. Don't stand up in the tub.
5. Don't approach the old lady in the chair.
6. Don't explore the house or grounds on your own.

And, I am sure, there are others.

The amiable cop in the car wasn't a stranger though. (Well, technically, he was since he was now a snake-person, but the girl didn't know that)

reply

He was obviously referring to the boy getting a ride with Sylvia.

reply

Evidently not so obvious since the generic statement could apply to more than one sequence.

Your logic:

A movie has two scenes in which a character gets into a car with another character.

In one scene, the two characters are familiar with each other as old acquaintances.

In the other scene, the two characters are complete strangers.

Someone makes reference to the movie saying, "Don't get into a car with a stranger."

They could be referring to either scene.

You are a genius.

reply

I thought he was talking about a certain scene, but evidently I was wrong because there are two similar scenes. Whoopee. Don't have a coronary.

Too late, my blood is on your hands!

reply

Good one, lol.

It’s not about worms, dimwitted OP! It’s about DRAGONS. Hugh Grant gives an erudite lecture on how the German word “verm” means fucking DRAGON. It cheeses me off when assholes are jerking themselves off during a movie and then bitch about missing critical information.

Well said!
