I finally gave this movie a chance, for some odd reason I've always assumed this movie was full of blood and gore even after watching previews, but it didn't, I was expecting a terrible film too but to my surprise it was really good! it's one of those movies with the word "CLASSIC" written all over it, it's so original in it's own way and reminds me of Halloween (1978) in that it doesn't need to be graphic to be effective, I'm glad I finally watched it.

I agree. I expected this to be a horrible movie, but the filmmakers actually made a fun movie. They knew what kind of film they were making. And the costumes/makeup on the klowns looked great too.
